Right now, my back’s still pressed against that golden tasseled backdrop, squeezing in with my buddies to take photos so lopsided they’re practically crooked—who would’ve thought even in suits and ties, we still can’t shake the habit of horsing around like we did in the back of the classroom?
This afternoon, I spent ten minutes messing with my tie in front of the mirror, fumbling around like I was trying to solve a math Olympiad problem. But once we got there, the second the music started, everyone tossed “elegance” out the window. Look at the photo—there’s the three of us, huddled together with our arms around each other, our “expression control” completely out the window. We totally made those crisp suits look like we were “running wild during break”—the only difference is we swapped our school uniforms for sharp fabric.
